File IRS Form 8821 (Tax Information Authorization) to conduct Compliance Check. Also called Record of Account (ROA). This includes:

  • Check for Unfiled Returns.
  • Check if there are Balances Due.
  • Check for Substitute for Returns (SFR).
  • Check your Collection Status.
  • Check the Collection Statute Expiration Date (CSED) on any Balances Due.
  • Retrieve all Transcripts and Wage and Income for tax years in question.

File IRS Form 2848 (Power of Attorney) to establish Representation and Protection. This enables us to:

  • Communicate directly with the IRS regarding your case.
  • Communicate directly with a Revenue Officer (RO), if assigned, regarding your case.
  • Depending on your status, prevent collection activities on your case.

Review Client 433 Collection (Financial) Information Statement.

  • This statement helps our team determine your realistic financial ability to resolve your tax issue.

Identify the best course of action to resolve any tax issue. For an additional cost, we can:

  • File Tax Returns.
  • Investigate balances due.
  • Research a Tax Lien.
  • Release/Modify Wage Garnishments or Bank Levies.
  • Audit Representation.
  • Negotiate a Resolution Program.

Yearly Financial Review.

  • The IRS requires a yearly financial review for most Resolution Programs including Installment Agreements, CNC Status, and OIC. If you do not submit updated financials, the IRS may start Collections with a Wage Garnishment or Bank Levy.

If State taxes are included in your monthly plan, then all forms, processes, resolution programs are governed by your State’s tax laws, rules, and regulations. Each State’s laws and forms are different and must be handled accordingly.
